Welcome
Todd and I were thrilled to release our CD “Travel Diary” on Bridge Records in early November. Recently it was named a Q2 Music Album of the Week! Buy your own copy here.
I was fortunate to join Tristan Perich on a performance of his own Impermament for tubular bells at La Sala in Brooklyn. Check out what the Village Voice had to say about the show!
After a year of incredible performances of Inuksuit, team JLA was recognized among the year’s 10 best musical events in New York City three times over! See what the New Yorker and Time Out New York had to say about Inuksuit at the Armory, and read what NY Magazine said about Inuksuit in Morningside Park.
The 2011 Chosen Vale International Percussion Seminar is on again for 2012! The 2011 edition could not have been better with an incredible faculty and talented and committed participants and 2012 is lining up to be even better. Go here, to check out this years faculty and to spread the word.
Todd and I have a new CD of early percussion music that just came out. It is called “Restless, Endless, Tactless – Johanna Beyer and the Birth of American Percussion Music”. I am so proud of this project! It is a great collection of little known music that helped define our repertoire. It also features the Baylor Percussion Group and Matt McClung with great help and direction by John Kennedy. It is on New World Records. Buy it here.
